There was coolant flowing back into the reservoir tank. Thinking it was the thermostat I changed it, bought some coolant, filled up my radiator and half-way filled the reservoir tank. I was told to purge the system, so I loosened the bold.Coolant started coming out in little short burst, all of the coolant drained out in about 15 min so I put more in(done this like 2 times). I figured I was done, drove it around the neighborhood for about 10min. When I lifted the hood up there was coolant, which was hot ass hell, leaking from the top of the resevoir tank and the coolant looked dirty. It was still overheating so I let it sit for about a month and a half now it won't start(I do have some gas in it). Is this a possible blown head gasket or the water pump?

The same thing happened to me. i had a jdm d15b that i swaped into my eg6 and it overheated and smoke came out of radiator and overflow tank. it was because i had an air bubble in the coolant system. Look for the bleed valve, unscrew it with a wrench and add coolant into your radiator till it overflows from the bleed vent, you will see the air bubbles pop as they exit, keep filling up the radiator till u see no more bubbles. then screw it back on and test it out. The bleed valve is by the upper radiator hose going into ur engine. located above the thermostat
