I have a 9 month old pit bull who is naughty in ways of chewing shoes and potty training, but incredibly friendly and warm and shows no signs of aggression towards animals or people. However, she has a problem walking on a leash. We use a 15 foot training lead to go to the bathroom, and that has helped to decrease naughtiness SOMETIMES, but she occasionally still does bite and shake the lead as if we were playing tug of war. I have taken her on several walks successfully but not enough to constitute a healthy relationship for either of us. I have tried harnesses and gentle leaders and nothing helps. I do not have an aggressive pit, but when she is shaking her leash on the sidewalk and grumbling like she is mauling something its hard to prove that to my neighbors. If anyone has come across this problem before and has advice I would much appreciate it.
