Okay I have three vegetarian friends and two of them say you can still eat fish if your a vegetarian and one says you cannot..I'm really wondering weather you can or not because they bring it up usually daily so I just wanna know the real answer!!

Vegetarians don't eat fish. Fish are animals, they have flesh (muscle). Vegetarians don't eat any animals or the by products of their slaughter. So two of your friends are incorrect and are pescetarians and one of your friends is correct and is a true vegetarian. Assuming that the two friends eat fish...

Bet they still will argue that they are vegetarians though, once someone gets it into their head that eating fish is OK on a vegetarian diet they are difficult to talk down!!!! I cant see HOW they can believe it though when fish are scientifically proven to be animals... I think though that the confusion could be because of how the Catholics and the Jewish people look at meat... They for some unknown reason don't group it with other meat... The muscle that is eaten from an animal is meat whether its from a deer, a swan or a fish!!!!!

Hope your mates argument stops!!!! *Smile* Good luck!!!!!

Many Types of Vegetarians
There are many kinds of vegetarians. Here are some of them:

semi-vegetarian: eats meat, but only fish and chicken
pesci-vegetarian: eats only fish
lacto-ovo vegetarian: eats no meat, but will eat dairy products (milk, butter, cheese) and eggs
ovo-vegetarian: eats eggs, but no meat or dairy products
vegan : eats no meat or animal products

does that answer your question?

Vegetarian: 1.a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl,

thats the definition in the dictionary.... if the only meat they eat is fish its called pescetarian

No vegetarians do NOT eat fish. Fish is meat and vegetarians don't eat meat. Pescatarians are selective omnivores who want the vegetarian label. Its just bs, they're still just omnivores.
