My 2nd N73, what's wrong ?

Hello all- I just picked up my 2nd N73 after my first met an untimely fate a while back, the problem is this one is not as sharp as the first one.
This one is red/white and I believe it to be Asian, not sure how to check the firmware but the font is slightly skinnier than the first one and the screen quality is way below the first. The icons are not as sharp either.
I'm just wondering if these types of things can be fixed with a firmware upgrade, perhaps to IE or just a different version of the regular N73 ?? I am not really sure what to do as I have never done anything like this before.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can upgrade to, if that would help ??
Cheers for any help !!!

yeah you need to update hardcore. There's a list of product codes floating around somewhere, or get Drewyehboi to give you his product code.

yes but mine has a very different extension, and I figured that they would have at least had the same primary value, but his is completely different.

Cheers for the replies guys, since this appears to be very old firmware I wonder if the phone is a first gen and has just been sitting around ?? I bought my original N73 on my trip to New York last year and that was in October so that was old as well but a completely different look to the phone, I assume the old N73 was Asian as well because I bought the phone in Chinatown NYC and the seller was Asian with all kinds of import mobiles from there.
I went to the Nokia site and tried to do their firmware upgrade but nothing happened, I may have not done it properly.
I have no problem trying to do it myself as at this point I feel I have nothing to lose but I have been searching around the forum and since the N73 is so old now there are just too many threads and answers while searching and am just not sure what to upgrade to ?? As in which firmware version ??
I don't even know if I should think about a ME or IE version at this point as it seems a bit too much, I wish I could just get back to the firmware I had on my old N73, or something to make the phone a bit more pleasing to the eye, this one is just too shoddy looking almost like a knock off.
Would be so kind as to post a link or suggest where to get a good firmware to download, believe me I have been looking and there is just to much of a mish mash of information.

Cheers all !!!!! LL-

UPDATE- I just went to Nokia Software Upgrader and checked my firmware and they say it's the latest ???

3.0638.0.0.1 is fine, the two updates after that were very minor, one fixed some camera freeze bug that didn't seem to effect a lot of people and the second update didn't even fix any bugs (I can't find the changelog now).

The only thing I do not like with this version is simply the quality of the screen, the font on the homepage is very thin almost to the point of being invisible well compared to my old N73 in which the font (for example Vodafone NZ on standby screen) was bold but with nice definition.
I have also downloaded some of my old themes on this phone and the overall quality of the images are just blurry and choppy, the menu icons are also more pixelated and just cheap looking. I wish I could figure out what my old firmware was and go back to it if that would help.
I even notice that web pages are just not as nice, if I can not get it to look a bit better may trade it for another N73 and see if I get lucky. Perhaps I'll just get used to it.
Oh, one more thing does anyone know how I can get the barcode scanner again, it wont show up here under "downloads" !!!
Cheers again, LL-
