ahh yes the disappearing symptom when your car sees a mechanic works with kids too tell em they need a shot and they aren't sick anymore, a clicking noise when you turn the key is a symptom of the starter not getting enough power there could be several causes but since you say this only happens sometimes I would check the condition of the battery I would then check the battery posts for corrosion and clean and tighten them, then check the connections from the battery to the starter make sure everything is tight I would check the wire between the battery and the starter for any frays or melted insulation indicating a short for a 2005 is probably ready for a new starter cable, if all that is good then the starter or the solenoid is your problem and you should have the starter replaced before you damage your flywheel, I'm thinking the temperature affects when this happens for instance it happens when you first start in the morning after its been sitting all night or when its been sitting in the sun all day at work and you try to start it, good luck
