Two months ago, (1.)my check engine light came on and the car did not want to start. I took the car in and had the ignition coil replaced. (2.) The lights in the car started dimming everytime I would try to start it, I had the alternator replaced. (3.) The battery still would not keep a charge after I had the alternator replaced, found out it was no good and had another one put in. (4.) The battery would still not keep a charge but the alternator was good, replaced the battery. (5.) The car was not getting any gas, replaced the fuel filter, pump was still working at the time. (6.) 2 weeks later the car would not crank, found out the fuel pump went out, replaced fuel pump. Everything was fine for a month. Yesterday I parked the car outside the house so I can fix the garage door, could not start the car back up. I finally started back up but it had this horrible smell coming from the muffler. There was this white smoke and it was also dripping water from the tail pipe. My cousin, who is a mechanic, came by and tapped the gas tank and told me that the tank was bone dry, which makes no sense because I just put gas in it the day before. He also checked my oil which he says is very very low. We went to the gas station and put some more gas in it because he felt that I may have put some bad gas. When I tried to start the car this morning, it didn't want to start.....AGAIN. I made it to work but I don't know if I will be leaving work. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with
this car?
I am a woman and do not care to know car terminology. Just tell me what you think the issue is. Thanks
