My 2000 Ford Taurus Flex Fuel - 2 Problems..?

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus Flex Fuel - I have noticed two issues with it...

First - When I have my A/C on and I stop at a light while the car is idling the temp goes up, once I start going going the temp goes back down to normal.

Second - My heater will only blow hot air while the car is moving, when I'm idling at a light or stop it starts blowing cold air.

Why?
 
check your coolant level and also temp going up while the vehicle is in park or stopped and running is normal as long as it is not a major increase more than 30 to 40 degrees,cause the air while driving will further cool the vehicle because it is passed through the radiator and when stopped you don't have that extra cooling power
