my 2 year old son has a lump

i may have doubled up this post but anyway my 2 year old son has a lump between his he was born with it, we took him to the docs at 6 months old and was told it was probably just loose gristle and not to worry, when he was one he fell and banged exactly on the lump and it disppeared and once the swelling went we assumed it must have just been fluid, anyway over the past few months it has come back and now it the same size as it was, could it just be a glandhas anyone else had a similar thing with their children?
 
you kind of forgot to mention just where this lump is actually located? how big is it? what does it look like from the outside? i find it rather odd that his doc would call this something like 'loose gristle"?? thats an interesting way to describe a lump on a child. any color to it or is it 'just' a lump? FB
 
hi thanks for replying, its between his eyes at the top of his nose,you can just see it from the outside like a pea under the skin it has no colour to it, it doesn't seem to hurt but for some reason it has come back since banging it, i thought it could possibly be cartlidge but it doesn't seem fixed it feels loose, its only small, pea sized, we have recently changed doctors hopefully they are better
 
i would think just considering where this actually is and that it is non attached that any doc could simply excise this right out and get rid of it. it would probably just take a very small type of incision and it could be pushed right out. then they of course would send it to a pathology lab just to really see what its make up really is( this kind of a standard procedure anytime they remove anything from inside our bodies). this could just be a simple type of calcification or even a tiny little cystlike lump. but i would make certain this new doc just 'does' something with it. it really does NOT sound like some ominous type of lump, just kinda there, ya know? i do hope this new doc will just do something here to rid his body of something that should not actually be there. please let me know how things go. good luck, marcia
