Start with your electrical system, that's what causes most misfire conditions. Check your plugs, wires, are your wires touching your exhaust manifold? Your distributor cap may be cracked or a bad rotor. Good idea just to replace all thes, plugs, wires, cap, rotor anyways, but this is probably your problem, or a bad coil or coil wire.
