my 1999 Buick regal gs jerks when be driven longer then 10-15 minutes, stalls out while stopped anywhere(while running).... the steering wheel had locked up while driving the check engine light come on and then goes off by itself and usually that was after it sit all night long. i had the plugs and wired replaced and no one knows what wrong with it
 
maybe the cadilatic converter...I had a car that that happened to and thats what it was.

Oh yea, and possibly something else...go to a car repair or parts place..I forgot the name of the place that does this...but your ignition will blink so many times to tell them the problem...my other car had a sensor go bad. A sensor for the fuel jets system...or Map sensor...if I remember right.

fuel bockage fuel cap faulty or fuel filter
remove the fuel cap and drine it
then replace the fuel fuel filrer and drive it
then
if
that dosent fix it check the fuel pick up in the tank remov eth ewhole unit and lok at it
if ok the problem in the carb
at a low fuel tank carb cleaner
run cr over a nd over agian until carb cleaner used
 
could be a bad catalytic converter or i would try the crank sensor because when it is bad it gets hot and shuts off the spark to the distributor or coil , i would also check the cam sensor it could also be the problem, the egr valve would also cause that problem but i would try the first guys answer first with the fuel then you can go into what i have said if his answer doesnt fix it
