my 1999 autumatic chevy cavielr wont shift while driving?

when i drive mychevy caviler it wont shift no matter if i put it in 1 2 3. or if i put it in drive.. the rpms reach to about 4000 and it doesnt shift down. what is wrong with this is it the transmission i gotta change pleasee helppppp mee?
 
Don't wait any longer change the trans fluid and filter before moving it again. if that don't work your trans needs a pro to look at it for a rebuild.
 
you should really see an auto mechanic, prob the gear shifts are loose b/c it is an old car, and all the bumps in the road don't help.
 
tune up your engine spark plugs etc. change your engine oil and transmission fluid
