My 1997 Toyota T-100 won't start in the summer?

I have a 1997 Toyota T-100 SR5 Ext Cab 4WD Automatic
It's an amazing truck and I love it
But

In the summer, on hot days, it doesn't want to start...it turns over, it tries to start, but won't
You put the key all the way back, and start over, and it always starts on the second or third try, but never on the first try

This is only when it's hot outside.

Any ideas?
Pretty sure it's not vapor lock
