I had a problem like this with my 2007 Mazda3. No codes came up or anything. I haven't had anymore problems since late 2007. I'm assuming that maybe there was a little bit of water in the gas tank. I ran the tank down as much as I could before running out of gas and then I started filling up with Chevron regular unleaded. I also added Chevron with Techron fuel system cleaner. It could be the same problem you are having but I really have no clue. Where do you normally fill up? Big gas chains like Chevron, Shell, Mobil, etc. have their own refineries and have a higher quality of fuel more so than places like Race Trac, Hess, 7/11, etc. Try running your tank down and then filling up with a better fuel and adding some kind of fuel system cleaner to the tank after you fill up. I did exactly that and have had no bucking or stalling since. Good luck.
