If the engine started sputtering and shaking before it quit, it is likely a fuel delivery problem. Check fuel pump fuse, fuel filter, fuel pressure, power to the fuel pump. If all the items check out, but you have no fuel pressure, the fuel pump has gone bad. Hope this helps.
