Whenever I go to start my ford taurus it will crank and drive anywhere I need to to, no questions asked. But lately whenever I get where I am going and shut it off It will not re crank. When you go to crank it you can hear the fuel pump come on and the electrical system come on. There is nothing wrong with the battery because we have tried to jump it off previously and it says that it is fully charged. You can literally just sit there and make the charger prongs arc my battery is charged enough. I recently ( yesterday ) put a brand new starter on my car hoping it would help. As a test today I drove it around my city ( small one red light town ) twice and parked it again in my driveway. I went back out five minutes later and boom no start. I have heard that it could be the starter relay or the soleniod. I have looked and haven't been able to find it. Can anyone help me?
It sits there and when you crank it you can hear the fuel pump come on and hear a little humming sound for about two seconds then the radio comes on and the air does......there is no clicking in the motor
its doesn't try to start or anything its just like when you have a dead battery but it isn't the battery and we just cleaned the cables recently
