...it has no power. EGR Valve? As I drive down the road I seem to be pushing on the accelerator more and not getting any where. I was told it could be a EGR Valve or Oxygen sensor. What is a EGR valve? When I try to start the Jeep, I have to keep my foot on the gas and then put it into drive quickly or it will shut off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

most likely it is a problem in your fuel system, plugged filter, faulty pump, ect, the egr valve is what recurculates the unbernt exaust fumes back to the intake,(egr-Exaust gas recurculation valve)therefor this would not affect your car in that way, besides the fuel system another cause of the symptoms you mention is a plugged catalytic converter,if theres not a problem with the fuel system then have the cat. checked.

It might also be your idle air control valve. I had the same problem in my 95 grand cherokee. It's a 20 dollar part that takes 20 minutes to fix.
