...security light coming on the dash? I went to start my car this morning, and it won't start. It doesn't turn over or do anything...No clicking, no noise at all. All the lights work and the dinger works. There is a securtiy light that comes on on the left hand side of the dash. Anyone have any ideas? I thought maybe the starter, but wouldn't it make some kind of noise when i tried to start it? And what is this security light??
 
It's unlikely that a car that old would be equipped with a no-start security device, but since the security light is flashing that's what I'm forced to assume. Have a dealer reset the security system.
 
probably has a engine lock out security take the negative battery post of for 5 min, put it back on and try your key again, this will reset several different computers on the car
