My 1993 dodge caravan is having a strange issue. One day when I was driving on the highway doing around 60 MPH i noticed that it was not accelerating and the more I pushed on the gas the more the speed decreased. I pulled over to the side and my car died completely. I tried turning the engine over and it shook extremely bad for a few seconds so I turned the engine off, waiting a few minutes and tried starting it again. This time the engine screeched. I waiting about 30 minutes and started it again this time it started up shaking but would once again started moving slowly when I hit the gas and within 3 minutes started driving fine again. For two days after this the car stopped having issues and then started again but only getting worse this time. It started happening after just driving a few miles and eventually a short few minutes and the car would die or I would have to pull over for 20-30 minutes at a time. Could anyone tell me what the issue might be?.
