Here's the story:
1. The battery was dead after inactive use.
2. I jumped the battery and went across town.
3. The battery died again so my friend jumped it with the cables on incorrectly.
4. I had to replace the 100A fuse that blew and tried to jump my car again.
5. The car wouldn't restart, so I charged my battery for a full hour and more off my friend's car.
6. I tried to jump the car again--lights work, electricity works, except no dice. The car sounds like it's ready to turnover and start, but it's not. It makes the "chck chck chck" sound and sounds close to starting...
What's going on? Please help.
Also:
I have taken the battery out of my car to take it into a store that can run a diagnosis for me. However, if it's not the battery, then I'll need to tow my car to a mechanic... I am asking this question here to see if somebody already knows what I should do.
What is a "starter motor"?
I found this on the internet so it's not the starter motor:
"If when you turn the key to the "Start" position, you hear the starter cranking as usually, but the car doesn't start, then the problem is most likely not with the starting system"
