...position.? Does the doors work by vaccum or cable. What is the common problem with a car this old?
 
i had a 84 cherokee and i had the same thing it was the relay. so i only had one position to turn it and i had no other speeds. i don't know about you but try the relay or the vacuum pump under the dash on the passenger side. i think their is a orange wire going to it!
