my 1990 honda aacord turns off plz help honda lovers help!!?

i have a 1990 honda accord lx ,no check engine code ill drive around for lik 20 miles than only if theres a lot of stop and goes(heavy traffic at stop light) it dies out so i have to put it in neutral and give it gas.. than it doesnt want to start right after but ill let it sit a while give it some gas and it starts ????ive tried everything whats wrong with it ???plz help if u have any more question ask plz thanks
