My 1990 Dodge Spirit odometer stopped working, along?

with the trip odometer. The speedometer does work fine, however. Will I need to dismantle the dash to replace this unit an/or speedometer cable?
 
Theres no cables anymore on speedo's, It's electronic. The odometer its most likey broken. In order to replace the speedo head it's kinda tricky and there should be a tamper proof tag on the head that if it is broken it kinda opens up a can of worms because it's there so the total odometer miles can't be turned back. I would just live with it.
 
If your speedometer is working i would leave well alone for it will still pass it,s mot .
