my 1989 buick century tail lights dont work when my headlights are on.?

but i know they work because i have a remote start which brings up all the lights in the car. So i know it works, Any ideas...

check the bulbs and see if the two points are intact

check your remote starter .It sounds like you have a crossed wire.

Sounds like a bad grounding somewhere, have a specialist check it out.
