I was driving on the highway at 75 + mph and heading up a steep long grade. All of a sudden it popped out of 5th gear. Ever since I can't get it into 5th. It is really great to have that 5th (overdrive) when you are on the interstates. Other than that it shifts fine in 1st-4th gears.That gear is better for gas mileage when you're cruising on the highways. I really like this car and its body style. I've had it for 6+ years. It also has white smoke coming from the engine compartment (under the hood). Bad seals,exhaust leak??
My 1987 Honda Accord LXi,5speed will not go into 5th gear.Any suggestions?
