timing, did you mix any plug wires? Out of fuel, unplugged /bad component / connector / vacuum line, plug gap, rotor wrong / not secure, bad fuel pump. bad Dist. Cap, plugged air filter, plugged exhaust,
First check if you gas in the tank, then check if the fuel pumps work, two to look for. In the fuel tank and the front of the engine, probably not. Rotor only goes on one way it is (idiot proof) for people like me. Unless you took the whole distributor off then the cap to change the rotor which I am positively sure you did't (right). Then you would have a serious ignition/engine timing problem.
Kind of like the same problem i am trying to fix for someone.
If this does not help, try replacing inexpensive parts first and work your way up till it starts. Good judgement will work well at this point.
