distributor cap so i don't know? my dad told me that when it does that let off the gas then go back on. i do and sometimes it works and other time it doesn't?! help please!
Check a few things. Starting with the rotor assembly in the distributor cap and if it is stripped replace it. Also check all the spark wires to see they haven't been spliced open. If all else fails replace everything related to the ignition and fuel delivery systems
