My runt pug weighs 2 lbs only compared to her brothers - 10 lbs. She was eating well until about a week ago, she started to be a bit inactive & wont finish the food I put in her bowl. I still give her milk supplement, that is all she wants now. She was seen by the vet & was given high caloric canned food but she will only eat about a teaspoon of it. I am mixing gatorade with water so she will get electrolytes & not be dehydrated. what else can I feed her?
thank you for the responses...I will definitely take her again tom, we were at the vet a couple of days ago. I did try mixing milk supplement with the prescription food that the vet gave, she (her name is Abby) eats only a little.
She does drink & responds to the family but not as active as before. Could it be that she is missing her sibling? Do puppies experience this? They were 5 in the litter, we kept her & a male puppy (so she'll have a playmate). Since the other brother was rehomed, the brother has been very rough playing with her, but because of her size, we are afraid that she might get "crushed".
Hope she will get better, she is the "baby" of the family & friends too...
