My car's check engine light just recently came on and it started jolting while idling and it seems to be loosing power (the inside lights dim). This only happens when I idle. I just recently got the alternator replaced and I'm reaching 100,000 miles soon. Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong with it and how much it may cost me? Will it cost to have it checked out?
