MV Agusta F4 750 S or Ducati 748 S?

Both bikes have quite a bit of torque, with the Augusta having a bit more torque and significantly more horsepower. Either of them will be fun to ride, and unless you're planning on getting them up to triple digits, you might as well buy the one that looks/handles/feels better. At triple digits, the one with more horsepower will have higher top speed. The Augusta will get you up to around 170 MPH.

From what I've heard (see references), Italian bikes break down more than American and Japanese bikes, and the fact that the 748 S is no longer produced might make it harder to find parts.

I don't know if you'll find more soul in an Italian bike. I've heard that the need for desmodromic valves has been fulfilled by DOHC, but I've never ridden a Ducati. If I ever outgrow my current bike, one of Honda's sportbikes would probably be my next choice; I don't like having to fart around with the internals of my engine, especially when it has unique technology in it.

I'm planning to bring home an Italian crotch rocket but still undecided which of these gorgeous ladies really deserve my love...

I used to ride high end japs.. but I'm ready to move on to bikes that have more passion and soul.

I was hoping that I could not disappointed having myself experience owning such exotics for the first time...
