Mustang Motors ford motors?

I have a problem. I was going to buy my boss's 2000 mustang gt 5 spd convertible. i was told that there is a crown Victoria motor in there because they blew the mustang motor. Does anyone know where the casting numbers are for the head and block on a 4.6 modular motor. And how you can tell which motor it is
