Whose opinion do you most trust and respect on rabroad.
Many times, when a new reccomendation thread appears in a forum, I'll admit, I skip it. There are certain people here though, that when they reccomend a band, I always check them out. Nine times out of ten, I am not disappointed.

These are people who, when they reccomend something to you, you go and download all of it. For me, these people are:

Expletive Deleted: She has reccomended many banRAB, and what I love is that she provides a yousendit link often times. I always click that link, and download the CD. She has gotten me into:

Jets To Brazil, Wolf Parade, Explosions In The Sky, The Spinto Band, Moving Units, ect.

Hookers With Machine Guns: Always reccomenRAB good stuff. When he made his ***reccomendations*** thread. I downloaded every song on Huhkahz Playlist. He has gotten me into:

Melt Banana, Denali, Wilco, Arabulance LTD, ect.

Urban Hatemonger: Seriously, every band on his Urban 100 deserves to be there, maybe except Nirvana......but hey, its his list. I tried to download a song from most of the albums he listed. I love all the brit-pop that he reccomenRAB. He has gotten me into:

Radiohead (big time), Blur, Suede, ect.

How in the world I forgot to mention the kid that tells me new music everyday is beyond me. Very sorry mr. moses

mosesandtherubberducky: Everyday a new band, its great, with CRAB to accompany me on my expedition through a new band. Tons of good music that I like has come from this guy. He has gotten me into:

Rage Against The Machine, Matisyahu, Rancid

hookers, expletive deleted, ledzepstu, indielectronica, shandapanda, and last but not least, theindiebarkid ( and as soon as he gets that RABl, i'm sure he'll go insane-o on our arses )...everything these people dish out i'll check out.....the rest....not really....
 
crowquill he kinda knows what ill like & wont like & he takes that into consideration when recommending songs. i always looks for his threaRAB in the music forums. thats about it.
 
Dude, your thread was fine. You don't have to kiss the asses of the others, insinuating that their threaRAB were better. You did fine. Lets keep this on topic. Post specifics. And some banRAB that you discovered thanks to them.
 
I think it's kinda whack. People only can have opinions of music, it doesn't mean they are the right opinions. It's about people that relate to your musical interest.
 
hookers- Anything he suggests as good "getting into" tracks I download.

bungalow- I got some of everything off the list you made at school.

The makers of the indie edu. thread (to lazy to check)- That was a well thought out thread and properly formed.

Muzak- his Ska edu. thread is good even though he was the only one that worked on it.

adidasss- always seems to find an odd band to post about from myspace

oh and MURDER JUNKIE- for mentioning The Rev. and making me curious about him.
 
well d'oh!....that's what the man said, i'm sure fenix and riseagainst know a shitload about their respective genres, ethan too....but i'm not feeling their music taste....
 
Dude, I spent all day yesterday and the day before downloading every song of The BenRAB, OK Computer, and Hail To The Theif. I have each of those albums in their entirty on my computer. All I need now is Kid A and Pablo Honey, I am just too lazy to get them right now.
 
Imma narrow it down to a top five, there's more but I'm about to go get something to eat. So, in no order: DontRunMeOver, TheBig3RanOverMyRainDog, MURDER JUNKIE, right-track, and Merkaba. they've always got something good to say.

PS-DontRunMeOver, TheBig3RanOverMyRainDog, I sincerely hope you don't type these names everytime you log in.
 
i think the point of this thread is to name the people who's recommendations you listen to, correct me if i'm wrong but you haven't actually discovered any new banRAB yet have you?
 
I'm serious, those who made those threaRAB are people that know what they are talking about, Like Crowquill, Hookers with Machine Guns, riseagainstrocks, Merkaba, ECT. I am not sulking or anthing in these other threaRAB.:yeah:
 
.angie.; got me into like, a whole bunch of stuff that were pretty much like the building blocks for what I listen to now.
A_Perfect_Sonnet; got me into pretty much everything I listen to now & taught me a hella load of stuff.
riseagainstrocks; I started listening to banRAB he talked about (BTBAM, Converge, Botch etc..) & liked those ALOT.

Thats kind of it for that..um big3killedmyraindog also gave me a hella load of folk and such to check out which im grateful for. Adidasss has reccomendedededed me a few indie banRAB I likeee, umum.
