So in a sonata like Beethoven or Chopin wrote for example...are there rules as far as what key each movement can be in compared to the original key of the sonata? Are there rules for the character of each movement (except for that the 2nd movement of a 3-mvt sonata is the slow one and 3rd movement is slow in a 4-mvt sonata)? Does each movement have to follow something from the previous movement? How does that work???
