Muscle tightness 2 months post op discectomy

I'm 2 months post op from a micro discectomy and have been feeling wonderful, no shooting pains or anything until last week when I started experiencing some muscle pain and tightness where they went in endoscopically and on both sides of my lurabar area.
I had surgery on L4-L5. How long should this last and is it normal? I'm assuming I'm still healing but of course any pain is worriesome. What can I do to allievate it, does heat or ice help?

Hi, it has been a year for me since my laminectomy and discectomy. I get that tightness too, actually swelling if I do too much. It feels like a slab of concrete. If I just stop any activities, it goes away
