Hi all

Im 23 and just moved back home to save for Europe, and its been ok going until a few months ago, when my mum stared have these mood swings.

shes 45 now and i dont know if it menopause or not?

A nominal routine for her is work during the week (which shes says its good job, and seems happy there) then shes cleans up the house on the weekends, I normal ASK if shes needs me to help out, because If i go out and do it on my own, she will yell at me because “im not doing it right” and tell and tell me "that i should know better etc..". And sooo far she was happy that i just helped out.

but lately shes been really happy then she will have this mega mood swing for days, and it happens over the smallest things and then she will blow it up too something HUGE and cry about it of days. She will take out a lot of her shit on me.

The last thing that made her snap. Was about bread, then she blamed me about the how I never “step in and help out with anything around the house” and shes been crying about for the last days.

Every time I try and talking her she will cut me off and tell me that im lazy, don’t think of anyone but my self, and should grow up. She will do the something anyone of my siblings who happens to be around.

Lately its been getting worse, Iv got 3 months to go I don’t think I can take much more of mums hurtfulness?

A person who is hurtful...hurts. A person who hurts is..
you got it. So, so what, right!! Well, first, knowing that
she hurts for whatever reason. I'd ask her for a list of
things she'd like me to do and show me how she
wants it done. She'll likely throw up her hands and
get upset...because she's upset. Then I'd say,
just let me know cause I can help. She might
say you're lazy. Well, she may be feeling lazy.
People put things on others. There's a great book
out, or series of books about Verbal self-defence
and basically the professor says to 'find the truth
in what's said'. You're lazy, well, yes, sometimes
you are lazy, don't like it, but well, yes. Don't
resist, but find some truth. Don't get walked on,
either. What a learning you're going to get.
Likely you'll need all you can learn to avoid
the scams in Europe and not get taken
too badly. Nevertheless, hope you have
a great time.
