My setup right now.
18" dish pointing to 91, both lines of the duel LNB going to the multiswitch.
I have 4 lines going out of multiswitch to 2-3100's and 2-4100's .
My multiswitch requires 2 inputs from the LNB in order for 8 outputs to work.

I'm planning on buying an HD receiver (6120 or 9242) and with that I need to put up the bigger dish (20").
Would this configuration work for HD programming and my multiswitch?

20" dish with Duel LNB for 91 and Duel LNB for 82
1- 82 LNB to SW21 switch (for HD programming)
2- 91 LNB's to Multiswitch (for regular programming)

1 RG6 cable from multiswitch to SW21 switch
RG6 cable from SW21 to the HD receiver
3100's and 4100's would still run from the multiswitch.

first, you don't need to change the dish to 20". if you are just going to view HD then you don't need the switch for the hd receiver. just connect it directly, from lnb to receiver. but if you are going to watch regular tv on your hd receiver then you only need one switch that has 6 or 8 output. 2 lines from 82 and 2 lines from 91 to the switch.

I'm not sure I follow you, which switch are you talking about SW21 switch or the multiswitch.
I would be watching HD and regular programming on the 6120.

On the 20" dish there are 2 duel LNB's, 2 for 91 and 2 for 82.

For the moment, lets forget about the multiswitch.
In order to get regualr and HD programming on the 6120 I need a line from the 91 LNB and a line from the 82 LNB, correct?
Do these 2 RG6 cables connect to a SW21 switch and then the SW21 switch is connected to the 6120?

Now that the 6120 is out of the equation, I need my 4 other IRD's connected to the 91 LNB.
Since the 6120 is taking up 1 slot on the 91 and my multiswitch needs 2 in order to have 8 outputs how would I get that to work?

If I understand your situation correctly. you should run two 91 lines to your multiswitch. Then run a single line from 82 into the SW21. Take one output from the multiswitch and place it in the SW21 as well. Then the output from the SW21 goes to the 6120, and the 7 remaining outputs from the multiswitch go to your other receivers. You only need three lines form the dish to the house - 2 from 91 and 1 from 82. You are essentially feeding the 91 side of the SW21 from the multi switch

Now if you ever wanted to add a second HD receiver, you will need the second line from 82.

Hope that makes sense.

Makes perfect sense.
It's what I was trying to say in my original post but you said it more clearly.

Can I just replace 18" dish with the 20" dish (leave the mast bolted to the bricks) since I already have the angle to the 91 with about 95% strength.

Yes. Simply change the dish and leave the mast. If you do put a 9242 You will need two lines to go to the receiver.
