I am a 19 year old female. I feel I have been constantly unwell for over a year now.. by this I mean always having a slight sore throat and cough and/or blocked nose. Occasionally it will get a lot worse (I would say about three times in the year) and at these times I would call it a full on cold/slight flu. My glands are always swollen- they might go down for a day or two but come back up and are slightly tender.
I have also been experiencing palpitations, even after I've been lying down a long time I will be able to feel my heart beat and my stomach and chest will b moving up and down. When I show other people they say I must be tensing my stomach muscles but I am not doing anything! Short burst of exercise means I can feel my heart beat in my head and sort of see it in my vision.
I feel very lethargic a lot of the time and need lots of sleep before I can stop feeling tired.
My gums have also been bleeding- not sure if this is related or not.
I have been to the doctors, once when the cold was particularly bad, the doctor said I had a viral infection and to take some time out to recover, he gave me pain killers and something to reduce my glands. The second time was to complain about the overall illness. I was given a nasal spray in case it was and allergy (this made no difference) and blood tests (anaemia, thyroid and something I can't remember)- I was told these came back normal.
As I am at uni I thought it may have gone on for so long because of
