Background:
The Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy began after twelve editorial cartoons, most of which depicted the Islamic prophet Muhammad, were published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten on 30 September 2005. The newspaper announced that this publication was an attempt to contribute to the debate regarding criticism of Islam and self-censorship. Danish Muslim organizations, who objected to the depictions, responded by holding public protests attempting to raise awareness of Jyllands-Posten's publication. The controversy deepened when further examples of the cartoons were reprinted in newspapers in more than fifty other countries.

Help me please!!!!!!! I need good, substancial arguments AGAINST the Muhammad cartoon printing. we are doing a formal debate in class and i got stuck with saying the publishing is wrong. I can't find any good argument! Help!
don't get me wrong. I have no strong opinion on this. I just can't find a argument online that supports my side of the debate.

Think of it this way. Would it be freedom of speech if I printed cartoons praising Hitler, or mocking the Holocaust? I'd probably be arrested. Everyone has a limit, and for Muslims it is anything against our Prophet(pbuh), especially malevolent cartoons depicting him to be violent. Freedom of speech does not extend to hateful, bigoted slander.
Notice that, when the world found out that we were insulted, and some sheikhs asked for the cartoons to be removed, the the cartoons were REPUBLISHED. They might as well wear a sign that says "I hate Muslims".

You could say that news media, as private organizations, have every right not to publish materials that some of its readers may find offensive
