For the last week my throat has been 99% better. Yes this has happened before but it seemed to improve this time when I did something. I get LPR when I sleep, otherwise I almost never get any reflux during the day. Sleep has always did me in. I notice that I can't breathe when I sleep (and often wake up unable to breathe, was told by doctors that it was acid hitting me in the throat causing it to close up). Anyway, I also noticed I can't breathe out of my nose when I lay down. So I start using nose drop and bought Breathe Right strips. My LPR has instantly improved. If I could eliminate the dry mouth I may be able to end this for good.

That's rather strange that you get LPR symptoms while sleeping since it's more common to have them during the day while sitting up? When I get so bad that I can't talk, breath, eat, cough and choke, I find going to bed and getting plenty of rest gets me better. Of course, I have had times when acid is up to my nose in middle of night. Whatever, always glad to read your post and wishing you a LONG remission period from this crap.

Yes, I agree that the acid reflux symptoms happen more for me during the day when I am up and around. I do wake up in the night with it if I am laying flat. If I prop myself up with a bunch of pillows that helps.

Yeah mine is strange, 99% at night. If I would never sleep I'd be fine. CharBerry I think you may have been right with an earlier post about sleep apena. Even though every doctor I go to says i'm not the type to have sleep apnea (skinny, no snoring) it did seem to improve when I concentrated on improving my breathing when sleeping. I've now added an air purefier to my room to see if that will help my breathing. My throat was fine for a week so I went back to a regular diet (orange juice, salty fooRAB etc.). That seemed to make my throat sore today so I'm going to go a couple more weeks without that and see if my throat heals, then will try them again.

The reflux is back with a vengence. Must have been a coincidence that I used the breathing strip on nose and reflux went away because I'm still using it and my reflux is back and as worse as ever. Beginning to think it is impossible to stop. Will probably never get a good nights sleep again.
