recent decades. Will it get reversed? Do you think that governmental regulations will reduce air pollution to where the trends will be reversed? (I don't recall the preferred scientific term. But it is measured based upon how quickly a quantity of water exposed to the sun at ground level will disappear due to evaporation. Anything in the atmosphere that blocks or absorbs solar energy so that it doesn't reach the water and contribute to evaporation is important to this phenomenon.)

What is the scientific term for this that I am forgetting?
