What kind of pickups should I get for a MTD Heir bass? I want something that sounds clean. Can I get any pickup I want installed, or does it have to match the style of the original pickups? The bridge has an 8 Alnico magnet block and near the neck is just a single block with 4 magnets. I am a noob when it comes to this, but I want to upgrade the pickups at some point to a more clean tone. Also, I feel the electronics where the amp cable goes into are not very good. Where do I go to replace the electronics for something like that?
