MRI shows white spots on my brain

i had an mri to see if i had ms. dr said no ms but you have white spots on my brain. he told me everyone gets then due to age. can someone tell me what that meens?:confused::confused:
 
i had an mri done of my brain and cspine. the dr said no ms but i have white sopts on my brain. he told me that evertone has them that it was part of aging. is this true?:confused:
 
Yes, every bump, thump or lump on the head you've ever had probably left behind some of these tiny white spots.

They're usually quite harmless.

The white spots are probably what is sometimes called small vessel disease. I also have these on my MRI and on both occasions was read as MS type plague. My neurologist than had a radiologist with a specialty in MS read the films and he said it was not MS but small vessel disease.
Nothing to be concerned about, just means your vessels are not as large as a normal person. It does increase your risk of suffering a stroke slightly.
