Mri results

I've recently been diagnosed with low vitamin D "14" and testerone was 114. I'm a 34 male. I've recently been having severe pain that seems to radiate from my spine to my chest down to what feels like my kidneys. My pain Dr. had a Mri scan on Friday today is day 13, I called up the office wondering if they had my results and was told if there was anything real serious they would call otherwise they would discuss it on my next appointment in about month n a half. I'm sitting at home in pain, they haven't sent in my FMLA paperwork and my fear is, that if nothing shows up on my MRI there just not going to approve my FMLA. I'm also taking pain killers hydromorphone and methadone and provigil to oRABet the chronic tiredness of low vitd and testerone. I was wondering What steps should I take from here? Should I see another specialist? I'm only 34 feeling like i'm 90 and have no idea where I should go from here?? :dizzy:

I'd call the office back and ask them 1-what treatment you should start for low vitamin D. (This usually consists of a prescription of 50,000 units vitamin D once a week for 8 weeks.) and 2-tell them that you are concerned about what the MRI may show, and request again that they have the doc review it and let you know. If they still refuse, ask for a copy of the MRI report as you are entitled to your own records. There is no reason for the MRI report to not be back if it was done 13 days ago.

One thing to help ease your fears though, if it were something bad the doc would have called you. Some docs just aren't good at reporting normal results to the patient.

They currently have me on 10'000 once a week of vitamin D and I'm taking a daily vit. pill "multi-vit" that has 5000 D. From everything I have read a normal person wouldn't OD on vitamin D at 10,000 a day. So I assume I should be ok. I will be getting my blood checked in 10 more days for levels. The testerone level of 114 and they have me on a 5% cream which I have read is pretty low dose, anyone think I should be asking about a higher amount? I got my results of my MRI and everything looked Normal! I'm very glad to hear that, other then I need to look down another avenue of when could be causing the pain? I'm wondering if it wouldn't be prudent to see a endocrinologist as to what would be causing this. I'm all for treating but I would like to know a cause aswell. Since the MRI is dead ended, any suggestions on what would cause pain in these area's, could they still be tied to low hormone levels? Seems to me Vit D is more of hormone then a vitamin. :dizzy: Again Thank You for your response and God Bless.
