Hello, I have been dealing with bad back pain for about 10 years. With herniated disks at the L4 L5, L5 S1 levels, and degenerative discs, in the lower lurabar, as per the last MRI in 2007. With increasing pain in my back, legs, hips to the point I cant sleep at night, my Dr. sent me for another updated MRI. Just got the results back yesterday, Now being my dr. is out of town til next week, I pretty much gathered info that I could on the internet. But if someone can help me understand all these medical jurabo worRAB lol. I will just type the main parts, Ok the report states the following:
There is low signal with early desiccation changes of the L3-L4,L4-L5,L5-S1 discs. There is protrusion of the posterolateral disc at the L3-L4 level, this is encroaching into the anterior aspect of the neural foramina bilaterally. Encroachment is moderate. There is mild posterior disc extrusion posterior central at the L4-L5 level, this is flattening the anterior thecal sac. Anterior posterior canal diameter is narrowed to 1.2 cm., with moderate encroachment in the left neural foraminal. There is mild central disc extrusion at the L5-S1,this is also encroaching into the anterior epidural fat planes with flattening of the anterior thecal sac.
Any advice will be helpful & appreciated very much : )
