Hello everyone. I am looking at a failed fusion (second surgery) and have had continued pain. A CT scan two months ago showed no fusion a year after surgery. I had an MRI a week ago and it had one sentence in it that really grabbed my attention. I'm not aure what to make of it. I understand the general concept of it but don't know what it means long term or near future wise. It's the weekend and I am hoping to hear from the docs office in a few days. Anyway, here is the jist of it...

There is a small posterior bulge of the cord into the laminectomy.

I don't know if I'm just being a weenie and getting all worked up for nothing. Like I said, I understand what it means literally but any insight as to what it means for me or your past experiences would b appreciated. I'm trying to delay going back on schedule two narcotics for as long as I can but the time grows short. I apologize for how this message may look but I'm doing it from my iPhone while flat on my back in bed.

Thanks for any help

Hello, Joe, and welcome to the forum. I'm sorry you are in so much pain and wish I could help you. Truthfully, I just have never heard of this and so can offer no insight. I did want to say HI and bump this back up to the top so that maybe a more knowledgable person will see it.

best of luck.

Carol
