I just received my MRI findings which said that I had a large parmedian intervertebral disc extrusion at L5S1 wich effaces the anterior aspect of the Thecal Sac and the Left S1 Nerve root. Also effacing the left L5 nerve root. Has anyone out there ever had that and if so, what type of treatment did you have to get out of this pain???

Thanks for your help!!

I am so sorry that you have had so many issues and are still in pain. I hope that you can find relief soon!

Surgery is likely a very viable option for you. Keep in mind that for most people surgery works, but make sure you research your selection of physicians. Do you have a scheduled appointment with an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and/or Neurosurgeon?

Thanks for the information. I just got home from my second epidural and the Dr. said that I need to come back for a third shot next week. She then said that I would follow up with a neurosurgeon
