can I discourage this behavior? I really prefer that he be seen and not heard since he has little (if anything) to offer on the affairs of the world but he keeps trying to show that he's up on current events. Sadly he keeps getting the details wrong. How can I get him to just sit there and look cute like he did when we first started dating?
