Mr Bean Edited On ITV3! (Princess Diana Reference)

Just noticed there on the episode 'Do-It-Yourself Mr. Bean' they left out the bit where Bean cuts off Princess Diana's head on the wall portrait whenever he's making the new hole.

Only noticed because I've got all the series on DVD, with that particular bit intact. Ironically in the scenes after you can still see her head, but they left out the the obvious close-up.

Thought it was a bit silly to edit it for that reason. It's not as if Mr. Bean was ever intended to offend anyone, which is more than you can say for Frankie Boyle's jokes on the same subject matter!

I watched that episode a few months ago on ITV3 and the scene was in it then

At least it's not as bad as the 9/11 censorship, anything remotly related to the attacks were edited out
