Moving violation ticket & losing car insurance?

I just got a ticket for a moving violation, and about a week later I had to get a new car insurance policy. Being is that I plead guilty, but I did not pay the fine and it was not finalized until AFTER I started my new insurance policy. Can my new insurance policy be dropped? Or will the rate just go up when the policy is renewed? Thanks
