Hello everyone, I am new here and I have a question that I hope someone can help me out with.

I have the latest Bell HD Plus Dual tuner receiver. When Bell came over they installed the main box in the basement in our games room, this was connected via an HDMI cable to my projection television. The second TV is upstairs using the other of the 2 tuners. I believe this is in standard definition.

I recentley purchased an 42" Toshiba LCD, I have put this tv upstairs and connected to the second tuner, so I am only getting SD on this. I would like to move the receiver upstairs and make this one the main tv and the downstairs tv the secondary one. Is this something I can do ? or do I need to have bell come and do it ?

Any help would be great, thanks

Honestly, I would pay bell, or a private contractor to come out and run the wires
Unless you have a compression tool (for the connectors) or think its an easy job, its better to have them to come out
So are you ditching the projector for hd in the basement?

Yes I am, it's about 4 years old and my 360 has but some burned in images into it.

Only you can answer that. Many people have the capability and tools necessary to do an excellent quality job.

Since the backfeed is already in place, you are looking at running 2 lines from your SW44 to the new location to feed the 2 tuners.

There is a forum forum section on installation that will provide you all the necessary info, it is then up to you to decide if you can do the work or need to pay someone to do it..

Depending on the length and location of the existing RG6s, it might be possible to just reroute them. You could also extend them with some prefabbed RG6 cables and barrel connectors.
