I did a quick quote through Budget and their price is a sold $900 cheaper than uhaul! Wow...

I will also get a quote from Penske.

Do you know if either trucks have loops for tie downs?

Will you use a front and rear stand?
 
I think both Budget and Penske are starting to move into UHaul's territory. The only thing UHaul has going for itself is the name. Too many people know the name and the ease of just going there. Then they realize their mistake.

I had gotten an online quote from Penske, then gave them a call. They came down a little when I told them I was pricing them against Budget. They had even sent me confirmation quotes via email while I was talking to them. It was out of the blue the next day that they called and basically matched Budget's price. Don't know if they will do the same for you, but push for it.

One thing I did learn is that price can vary depending on how badly the city you are going to needs trucks. If they are looking for a truck your size, they may offer you a little better deal.

No idea on tie downs. I have a Baxley wheel chock and rear stand. Between those, a lot of pillows, and doing what I can to tie it to whatever, I am thinking it should be secure.
